Learning and Knowledge Analytics Open Course
BCcampus is pleased to support the Introduction to Learning and Knowledge Analytics open online course offered by George Siemens and the Technology Enhanced Knowledge Research Institute at Athabasca University. This course is being hosted on BCcampus' open online community SCoPE site. The Learning and Knowledge Analytics Open Course is not offered for-credit. It is intended for professional development and to raise awareness of the role that analytics can play in education, learning and development, and in evaluating organizational information flows. Over 400 people from around the world have already signed up and things kick into gear today with the course running from January 10-February 20, 2011. Identified as one of the top emergent trends for 2011 learning analytics promises to shed insight on learner data associated with accessing learning materials, interacting with educators and peers, and creating new content.
