BC Learning Gateway Concept Paper

Abstract: The Campus 2020 report proposed a BC learning gateway as a means to unify higher-education information and services. The goal is to make it easier for students to access services, learning resources and the credentials needed to enroll, study, and succeed in the post-secondary system. The BC Learning Gateway concept paper is the BCcampus response to Campus 2020 recommendations #18 and #52.

Abstract: Open initiatives in higher education have crystallized around three major areas of activity: the creation of open software and development tools, the creation and provision of open course content, and the development of standards and licensing tools. We have adopted and adapted "open" concepts and methods as a strategy for building a sustainable approach to the development and use of online learning resources for our public post-secondary sector.
