Mary is responsible for the portfolio of programs and services that includes open education programs, the Open Textbook program, professional learning and training programs, and applied research projects such as the remote web-based science labs (RWSL / NANSLO).

Her role includes building awareness about these services, and acting as a liaison with BC's public post-secondary institutions that use them.
